Paddy is one of the major crops produced in Umarpur Union. Pulses and oilseeds include mustard and sesame seeds, wheat and barley. The notable fruits are watermelon, cucumber etc. The district also produces mango, blackberry, jackfruit, guava, coconut, betel nut, palm, date, grapefruit (batabi lemon), lemon, tamarind, kamaranga, olive, bell, pomegranate, quince etc. Pepper, onion, garlic , Coriander, etc. Spice grains, gourd, sweet pumpkin, rice pumpkin, squash, chichinga, squid, bean, barbati, cockroach, potato, round potato, eggplant, tomato, cauliflower, cabbage etc. are produced in large quantities.
